GH HIV Study
Growth Hormone HIV Study Needs Volunteers

Investigators at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, MO, are conducting several NIH supported clinical trials of growth hormone treatment and exercise training to determine their usefulness as therapies for HIV-associated muscle wasting. Research volunteers without muscle wasting are also being recruited for other investigations of HIV-associated complications (diabetes, neuropathy).

Volunteers who are planning a change in their anti-viral medication regimen are also needed to examine how a reduction in viral burden affects muscle.

People with HIV in the St. Louis area are most suitable, but the investigators are willing to consider all volunteers in the MO, IL, IN, OH, TN, KY, AR, KS, IA, NE, OK regions. Travel reimbursement available.
