Deca Durabolin (Nandrolone Decanoate) Returns (August 16, 2002)

Nandrolone decanoate returned to sale in US pharmacies last week when Steris Pharmaceuticals began vending it again. Several months ago sales of the tradename product, Deca Durabolin, were stopped by Organon, the company that owns the trademark. This caused a great controversy in the HIV community because nandrolone is one of the most beneficial anabolic steroids for males and females with HIV-related weight loss.

The price of nandrolone from Steris (also known as Watson) has been raised to approximately $30 per 100 mg/mL vial. Steris' nandrolone was sold for $4 per vial several years ago. The price increased several times before nandrolone was removed from the market last year. It is anticipated that both 100 and 200 mg/mL vials will be available by October.
